Willy Naessens participates in D-Glas from Ostend

The participation fits in with the vertical integration strategy that can also be continued in the alu department of the Willy Naessens Group.

The acquisition involves the real estate of the company and the transport department. The operation of the pet shop that is also active within the company is not taken over by the Willy Naessens Group. The current manager will organize a sale from 1 April to 30 June. The acquisition will be finalized in June.

Groeninghe Transport mainly transports nationally and internationally in the Benelux, Germany and France. 99% of their activities consist of container transport.

“The intention of this acquisition is to take another step further in the future in our vertical integration at the Willy Naessens Group and also to tackle the mobility problem. Due to the location of Groeninghe Transport, we do not have to lose hours in traffic on and around the Antwerp Ring when we come from our concrete factories Alpreco or Intershipping and have to supply a yard in the Antwerp Kempen or the Netherlands. This time saving is crucial to continue to guarantee our customers the Willy-Naessens service that they are used to. We eliminate the lost distance, "explains CEO Dirk Deroose.

All employees within the transport department remain on board and are gradually being switched to the specific construction transport required for the Willy Naessens Group.
